Ramadan Kareem

Hello IELTSmates,

Ramadan Kareem to all of you and my best wishes to reach the peak of the IELTS mountain.

Now,for the 'Captain' of our journey, HOW ARE YOU! Hope you and each member of your family is doing well. Iwas in a splendid vaction for 25 days, away from the work and humidity.

I think the vacation is necessary for everyone as it imposes a change in our regular life style that we got used to it over the year.

so,how about giving an opinion regarding the benefits of traveling around or on the contrary, the benifits of staying home and keep saving all the mony that we have made?

we can invent another subject if you like, just let us share this "Blog" and allow the 'Captain' to judge our work.

We would benifit from this for our test, believe me!

please pay attention to the new words that the 'Captain' has used in his greeting's article(Itis a great source of vocabulary)

Yours truly,

Welcome back, faithful Firas!

Yes, it's wonderful to get away and have a change of scenery, isn't it? Not everyone is so fortunate, and those who have to 'tough it out' during a Gulf summer have my admiration. Sure, we all adapt to the extreme heat and humidity, but it is a strain.

The question is: "What or where is 'home'?" Abu Dhabi is like a second home for me, but nothing compares to my home country and home town. So I definitely endorse going away, if possible, and then to return refreshed, but 'out of pocket' after travelling away during the summer.

OK then, let's keep the blog going.

I'd love to hear your news. I just happened to bump into a July IELTS student, Nazrul, who got a 5.5 Academic IELTS band and has been accepted to do a BSc Mechanical Engineering in the UK after doing a foundation year.

Please remember that I do NOT have access to your IELTS results. This is confidential British Council information that is kept for your eyes only.

Once again, good luck to the September candidates and may Allah bless you and reward all your hard work.

Bye for now

Tony
